District level committee meeting organized on 4thOct. 2016 by KVK Banswara (Rajasthan)
The district level committee meeting for reviewing and monitoring the progress of ARYA project was held at KVK, Banswara, on dated 4th October, 2016 under the Chairman-ship of Dr. S. K. Singh, Director, ICAR-Agricultural Technology Application Research Institute, Zone-II, Jodhpur.The following persons attended the meeting.

Proceedings
In the original ARYA Project proposal submitted to the ICAR by KVK, Banswara four enterprises i.e. poultry (100 youth), Horticulture nursery raising (25 youth), fish farming (25 youth) and Goat farming (50 youth) was under taken but due to very less numbers of youth show their interest in fish farming enterprise due to which problem faced in conducting training programmeon fish farming. So, in the meeting it is decided that the number of youth which being trained in fish farming enterprise shall be adjusted in poultry and/ or goat farming enterprises so that total number of youth is being trained will remain same.
Prepared a calendar for ex-training meeting for trained youth under ARYA project at KVK and Scientists should visit frequently at their door step to solve their technical problem and monitoring progress of the project.
Zonal Committee Meeting organized on 21st November, 2016 at ICAR-ATARI, Jodhpur
A one days’ Zonal committee Meeting under Attracting & Retaining Youth in Agriculture (ARYA) for 2 KrishiVigyanKendras (KVKs) of Rajasthan and Gujarat states was organised under the Chairmanship of Dr O. P. Yadav, Director, CAZRI, Jodhpur by ICAR-Agricultural Technology Application Research Institute (ATARI), Jodhpur at ICAR-CAZRI, Jodhpur (Rajasthan) during 21th November, 2016. Dr O.P. Yadav, Director CAZRI was the Chief Guest; while Dr S. K. Singh Director, ICAR-ATARI, Jodhpur and Co-Chairman of Zonal level committee, Dr. Ishwar Singh DEE, AU, Jodhpur, Dr. P.P. Rohila, Dr. M.S. Meena Nodal Officer of ARYA Project & PI, Dr. R.L. Soni Senior Scientist & Head, KVK Banswara, Dr. B.B. Kabriya, Senior Scientist & Head, KVK Rajkot and Other ATARI member were the expert invitees. Other institute member and two representatives present on the occasion from 2 KVKs Banswara (Rajasthan) and Rajkot (Gujarat). Dr. R. B. Kale, Scientist (Agril. Extn.), ICAR-ATARI, Jodhpur welcomed all the delegates and participants present on the occasion. Dr. Kale introductory remarks elaborated the eminence of youth in India and stressed to the working with 25 KVKs and 200 youth per KVKs under ARYA project.
The following decision and feedback was taken during the Zonal committee Meeting at ICAR- ATARI, Jodhpur.
Proceedings
The active role of KVKs to facilitate, sensitise and mobilise the rural youth through technological backstopping, formation of groups/association in the areas of knowledge management, input management, processing management and post-harvest management to make the project successful.
The discussion on the identification of need based enterprises such as floriculture in peri-urban areas, processing & value addition in milk especially in Rajkot district of Gujarat.
Marketing aspect by creating forward and backward linkage.
Discussion on the create round the year employment for youth through entrepreneurship development for sustaining interest of youth in agriculture.
Discussion on the diversification of the farm activities over the traditional farming practices for higher income.
